Nick Leman is a physiotherapist from Melbourne with a special interest in running and football. He is currently a physiotherapist with Football Australia, where he supported the Young Matildas as head physio for the 2024 World Cup in Colombia. He was previously the head physio at Melbourne Victory FC and has also worked with Melbourne City FC, Seattle Reign FC, Houston Dash, US Soccer, the Young Socceroos as well as the Melbourne Track Club.
Nick worked as a physiotherapist for Melbourne Heart FC / Melbourne City FC from 2012-16 and then moved to the USA to work as the High Performance Director for the Seattle Reign FC from 2016-2021. He moved back to Melbourne in 2021 to work as the head physio for the Melbourne Victory FC. Â
Nick completed his bachelor of physiotherapy at La Trobe University and also holds a masters in High Performance Sport. He has particular interest in treating running related injuries with emphasis on proximal hamstring tendinopathy and bone stress injuries. Nick offers end stage return to play programs for ACL and long term injury rehab which combines strength & conditioning and physiotherapy rehab. Nick is a keen runner and triathlete and recently completed the Melbourne marathon and Melbourne 70.3 half ironman. His running career peaked by winning the Australian 2km run title in 2014. Nick was also an active surf lifesaver, beach lifeguard and Westpac Rescue Helicopter rescue swimmer. Nick held the club captain position at the Inverloch SLSC from 2010-2015.
